GEN Hana Kimi Happy



"This will be my bedroom," Sam said, leading the way into another room in the unfurnished farmhouse.

"Dad-dad-dad-dad-dad-dad-dad!" Sam ran as fast as his chubby little legs could carry him over to Clark and held his arms up in the air. "Up-up-up-up-up-up-up!"

"I'm not sure if I like the color, though." Sam brushed his fingers along the wall, then over the dark wood of the windowsill, wiping away a spiderweb in the corner. "Maybe I'll paint it blue, like my room at your house."

"Why don't lobsters make webs, Dad?" Sam stood on his toes and peered into the lobster tank at the grocery store. "They're from the same phylum as arachnids."

"The property spreads over four hundred acres." Sam looked out the sashed window. "I'll probably rent out the crop fields. The yard's big enough as it is, for me to maintain on my own."

"Daaad, I'm seven now. I can do it myself." Sam scowled and went back to work knotting a real tie, the clip on discarded on the floor.

"So, what do you think?" Sam asked, anxiousness for approval evident despite his feigned casualness.

"I love you, Dad. I'm gonna live with you forever and ever and ever!"

Clark tucked his sadness behind a smile and clasped Sam's shoulder affectionately. "It's a great house, Sam. I can tell that you'll be very happy living here."

    Oh, so good but so hard to watch them grow up and away! I absolutely love the lobster comment--it epitimizes how I see Sam as a kid.

    (I'm slightly confused--is this the Kent family farm house or another farm house? I remember there was something in a previous 'drabble' that led me to think he had moved to the Kent farm...)

      It's a farmhouse 30 miles outside of Metropolis, NOT the Kent Farm. I did not imply that it was, people seemd to just assume so. Of course, then I wonder where Jonathan and Martha went :P

    something's wrong with my email address, so i'll just leave feedback on ur journal, if u don't mind. i enjoy all of your clex stories, very much so, i've read every single one of them, i've even read the lex/draco ones which were surprisingly great and it worked. but of all your amazing work,i've gotta say that Kryptonian Mating by far surpasses them. it's amazingly funny and fun, strangely realistic and i loved the characterizations and it was facsinating to discover this truly *alien* world with *aliens* ... i luaghed so many times reading this fic, it's the middle of the night, i've gotta work early tomorrow morning, but nooo, what do i do? i read your very satisfyingly long fic, snickering and laughing madly out loud like a crazy person..... lol so i loved and appreciated this fic in a very intense and almost distrubing way. and lex's characterization was so refreshingly different. in any case, i can't remember the last time i enjoyed a piece of fiction this much. god, *shit-moster*!!!!! i just laughed my head off!!!

      Thanks! Kryptonian Mating was a hoot to write. Since I was given the mpreg cliche for my challenge topic, I figured I'd go all out with the humor-side, as I already did a serious one with Family Friendship & Love.
