bronzetigress I have learned that there is New Prince of Tennis chapters! It looks like it'll be similar to the current Eyeshield 21 'all star' arc, which is fine by me. I get to see all the favorites battling together against a new foe - high schoolers!
Best part: even though Akutsu left the Yamabuki team prior to Nationals, he's playing in this all star camp. (It's post-nationals, but before the school year ends. Probably a summer break camp.) I've only seen him and Sengoku so far from Yamabuki, but wherever Akutsu is, Dan isn't usually far behind... and hopefully my PoT muse won't be far behind that!

This gets me back all the way to May 9, 2007. Six SPN, 2 SGA, 4 PoT, and 13 OP. I remember when I used to write a story a week during my Buffy days. Now we're stretching back a year and a half to get 25 stories.
This bunch includes my foray into SPN, which is a very scary place to visit, and 1/2 of my SGA fics. H.M.S. Atlantis is probably one of my favorite fics of all time and it's included here. Yay.
To keep it real - not that my head is rooted in reality - I had a dream last night where I, while waiting in cluster-lines outside a building, was having a lively debate with con-people about how Jesus is the biggest Mary Sue of Mary Suenation. If you go with the theory that the Bible is a work of fiction, I can so see that this is true. He's got all sorts of neat powers, comes back from the dead, and all the smart good-side people think he is teh shizzle. The only thing missing is the sparkles.

The big boss went and got himself married on Friday, so all the little bosses are gone, too, with the wedding festivities, and thus I have no work at work to work on. Naturally, I'm bored out of my skull!
I've been puttering away at my new PoT AkuDan fic, and though I have all the parts in my head, it's taking effort to translate them to the page and making me keep stop writing after I get to a line break for a break (get that?). I'm at one of those breaks now and am inflicting myself on lj.
What I should really do, and probably will do next, is type up the newest in the line of mini-transcripts (transcriptlings? transcriptettes?) I've been getting lately. Less than $50 a pop, but still Money! Whee!
I got another new video game at home, since I finished F.E.A.R. It's Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, a stealth game, who's main character Sam Fisher is voiced by IRONSIDE. I think I love the game just for that reason. I didn't recognize any of the other voice actors' names in the credits, although whoever plays Lambert sounds familiar (Don Jordan, who has a huge IMDB list and that's prolly why). Apparently, our favorite Dennis Haybert will voice Lambert for the 2d game in the series and try to sell me allstate insurance at the same time.

I am all sad. PoT manga has ended this week. It was a very addicting sports manga that wasn't about anything more than Tennis - unless you count all the BL that was handed to the slashers on a rainbow racket. More Nationals OVAs will still be forthcoming, and since the anime is somewhat different from the manga on purpose via the manga-ka's direction, so that can be looked forward to (as long as there's subbers still working on it) and tenimyu has just reached Nationals as well. So, not all PoT is gone. Still, the manga ending means no more real new story. Sniff sniff.

I've watched the Bring It On-athon. All four movies in a row. Cheer!
I've watched every single Tenimyu, both subbed and unsubbed, available. First and Second cast still rawk my sawks. And I'm learning Japanese very slowly. Kanpai!
I've watched the Oxygen movie Husband for Hire. Cute!
I've watched the Hallmark movie The Good Witch. Meh!
I've watched the first episode of Rocket Boys unsubbed. Lol!
I've watched Kimeru MVs. Giggle!
I've watched too much and the long weekend isn't over with yet. Ded!

I'm pretty good at picking up languages, especially written ones. I learned two full years of Spanish in less than a school year back in junior high. Since I started watching a lot of anime, I've been trying to pick up on Japanese and am finding that using romanji makes it relatively easy. I've got a list next to me now of words that have cropped up regularly in tenimyu and am simply memorizing them as I go along. Having romanji versions and English versions of tenimyu songs helps, too.
Except that, romanji won't do me any good with learning to read it! I'm gonna have to get some Kana books (and then Kanji) and really learn this language if I want to be able to read all the nummy doujinshi out there. I'm too lazy to get myself enrolled in a class, especially since I'd have to drive out to PNC which would be a Pain N the Carcass. Any recommendations from self-taught people as books to buy?

Got to see the Prince of Tennis live action movie. I didn't like the kid they got to play Echizen. I understand why they picked him; they wanted someone who actually looked like a 7th grader. Still, the Echizen in the movie looked like a thousand miles of bad road the whole time, whereas he's supposed to look simply bored.
Otherwise, not too bad of a flick. I kept expecting them to break into song, though, since most of the cast was from the musicals. All in all, a pleasant way to waste a Sunday night.

So, I got myself a plot for that OP fic. Three plots, actually, I just have to pick one that makes the most sense with their location and what will be doable for me to write.
